Karoo Origins – The Fossil Centre recently had the privilege of welcoming Union High School’s Top Level Club for an inspiring educational visit.
Led by esteemed palaeontologist Professor Bruce Rubidge, the learners embarked on a guided exploration through the centre, uncovering the fascinating fossil history that makes the Karoo one of the world’s most significant palaeontological treasures.
From ancient life forms preserved in stone to the remarkable geological story written across our landscapes, the group engaged enthusiastically with the exhibits, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine curiosity throughout the tour. Their eagerness to learn was a reminder of the value of connecting young minds with the rich natural heritage of our region.
